The common faults and solutions of vacuum powder sintering furnaces in the medical industry can be summarized into the following categories:


1. Vacuum system malfunction

low vacuum

Reason: pump oil pollution, insufficient or too thin; The pumping time is too short; The exhaust filter is clogged; There is a leak.

Solution: Clean the vacuum pump and replace it with new vacuum pump oil; Extend the pumping time; Clean or replace the exhaust filter; After evacuating, turn off the power supply of the vacuum sintering furnace and check for any air leaks in the solenoid valve, pipe joints, vacuum pump suction valve, and sealing gasket around the working chamber.

The vacuum pump has a loud noise

Reason: The coupling of the vacuum furnace is worn or broken.

Solution: Replace the coupling.

Vacuum pump oil leakage

Reason: The return valve is blocked.

Solution: Remove the return valve and clean it.

The vacuum exhaust time is too long

Reason: There is a phenomenon of air release or leakage inside the device.

Solution: Confirm the impact of gas leakage or deflation through pressure rise testing or helium leak detection, and take corresponding measures.


2. Heating system malfunction

Do not heat

Reason: The heating strip is burnt out; Heating time relay burnt out; Heating wire burnt out; Poor contact of the control heating temperature band switch; The AC contactor controlling heating does not reset.

Solution: Replace the heating strip; Replace the time relay; Replace the heating wire and install it firmly; Repair or replace the band switch; Repair (blow away foreign objects with airflow) or replace the AC contactor.

Heating does not stop

Reason: Poor contact or burnout of the heating time relay.

Solution: Adjust the contact between the time relay and the socket or replace it.

Temperature anomaly

Reason: The temperature sensor is damaged or loose; Temperature controller setting error; Heating element damaged; The PID parameters are unreasonable.

Solution: Check if the temperature sensor is damaged or loose, reconnect or replace the sensor; Check if the temperature controller is set correctly, such as setting temperature, PID parameters, etc; Check if the heating element is working properly, and replace it if it is damaged; Adjust the PID parameters according to the actual situation.


3. Mechanical structural failure

The door doesn't close tightly

Reason: The hinges of the door are loose; Buckle deformation; The sealing strip at the entrance is damaged; The door panel is deformed.

Solution: Tighten the hinge; Replace the buckle; Replace the sealing strip; Correct the door panel.

The fan has abnormal noise

Reason: Foreign objects enter the rotor of the fan; The screws securing the motor are loose.

Solution: Clean the foreign objects inside the wind turbine; Tighten the screws of the motor.

Pneumatic valve cannot operate

Reason: Electromagnetic valve malfunction; Insufficient compressed air pressure; The pneumatic valve itself is damaged.

Solution: Check if the solenoid valve is working properly; Ensure that the compressed air pressure meets the working requirements; Replace the pneumatic valve.


4. Other faults

Loose oil window

Reason: The oil window is not securely installed.

Solution: After draining the oil, remove the oil window and wrap it with raw material tape or thin plastic film.

Large oil fume

Reason: Blockage or contamination of the exhaust filter.

Solution: Clean or replace the exhaust filter.

Power outage or heating power failure

emergency measure:

When there is a power outage, if the water supply is cut off, the backup cooling water should be immediately connected.

If there is a power outage during non heating, heating, and cooling, and it can be restored as soon as possible, restart the equipment; If it takes a long time, keep the device in its original state.

If there is a power outage while heating and cooling, and it can be restored as soon as possible, restart the equipment; If it takes a long time, keep the device in its original state and let it cool down naturally.

When the heating power supply loses power, check the water pressure, grounding fault, vacuum discharge, and take corresponding measures.

Stop inflating gas

Reason: Blockage of gas pipeline; Electromagnetic valve and gas inflation valve malfunction; Gas inflation piping leaks.

Solution: Confirm if the gas pipeline is blocked; Check the operation of the solenoid valve and gas inflation valve; Confirm if there are any leaks in the gas inflation piping and repair them promptly.
