Various faults may occur during the operation of metal material vacuum sintering furnaces. The following are some common faults and their solutions:
1. Vacuum related faults
Insufficient vacuum degree
Possible reasons: Vacuum pump malfunction or performance degradation, vacuum pipeline leakage, aging or damaged seals, residual gas or pollutants in the furnace body or pipeline.
Solution: Check the working status of the vacuum pump and repair or replace it if necessary; Check the connection parts of the vacuum pipeline to ensure no leaks, use a leak detector to locate and repair the leakage points; Thoroughly clean and degas the furnace body and pipelines to remove residual gases and pollutants.
The pumping time is too long
Possible reasons: Vacuum pump oil contamination, insufficient or too thin, clogged suction filter, and leakage.
Solution: Clean the vacuum pump and replace it with new vacuum pump oil; Clean or replace the exhaust filter; After evacuating, turn off the power supply of the vacuum sintering furnace and check for any air leaks in the solenoid valve, pipe joints, vacuum pump suction valve, and sealing gasket around the working chamber.
Abnormal noise from vacuum pump
Possible reasons: Internal wear or damage of the vacuum pump, insufficient or contaminated lubricating oil, foreign objects entering the interior of the vacuum pump.
Solution: Check the condition of the internal components of the vacuum pump and repair or replace them if necessary; Check and clean the foreign objects inside the vacuum pump to ensure that there are no foreign objects obstructing the normal operation of the pump.
2. Heating related faults
Abnormal temperature
Possible reasons: power and heating element failure, temperature control system failure, heating element not responding to temperature control commands properly.
Solution: Check the power supply and heating elements, replace damaged heating elements; Check if there are any issues with the temperature setting of the temperature control system, verify if the temperature sensor accurately monitors the temperature inside the furnace, and recalibrate the sensor if necessary; Check the control circuit of the heating element to see if there is any component damage or signal interference, and promptly repair or replace the faulty component.
Uneven heating
Possible reasons: damage or aging of heating elements, malfunction or incorrect positioning of temperature sensors, damage or improper arrangement of heat shields.
Solution: Check and replace damaged or aged heating elements; Check the working status of the temperature sensor, ensure its correct position and normal function, and calibrate or replace it if necessary; Check the status of the heat shield, repair or rearrange it to ensure uniform heat distribution.
Heating does not stop
Possible cause: Poor contact or burnout of the heating time relay.
Solution: Adjust the contact between the time relay and the socket or replace it.
3. Other common faults
Internal pollution of furnace body
Possible reasons: Unclean residues during use, material evaporation or reaction by-products, poor sealing of the furnace body leading to external pollutants entering.
Solution: Regularly clean the interior of the furnace to remove any residue; Use appropriate materials to avoid the generation of volatility or reaction by-products at high temperatures; Ensure good sealing of the furnace body to prevent external pollutants from entering.
The furnace door cannot be opened or closed normally
Possible reasons: Aging or damage of the furnace door sealing ring, mismatch between the furnace door sealing ring and the furnace body.
Solution: Replace the aging or damaged furnace door sealing ring; Check and repair the mechanical components of the furnace door to ensure its normal operation; Ensure that the sealing ring of the furnace door matches well with the furnace body, and adjust it if necessary.
Cooling system malfunction
Possible reasons: blockage of cooling water circuit, water pump failure, damage to cooler.
Solution: Regularly clean the cooling water circuit to ensure smooth water flow; Check the working status of the water pump and repair or replace it promptly if there is a malfunction; Check the condition of the cooler and replace it promptly if it is damaged.
