The high vacuum muffle furnace is suitable for various material preparation fields, as follows:
1. Ceramic materials: High vacuum muffle furnaces can be used for processes such as sintering, melting, and glaze treatment of ceramic products. In the ceramic industry, it can be used to sinter ceramic powder into hard ceramic products, including ceramic parts, electronic ceramics, tiles, etc. For example, after sintering alumina ceramics at 1650 ℃ and adding MgO additives, the density can reach 99% of the theoretical value, and the bending strength can reach 450MPa, which is suitable for the preparation of ceramic cutting tools.
2. Metal materials: In the metal processing and smelting industry, high vacuum muffle furnaces can provide a high-temperature environment for heating metal materials to their melting point, forging, quenching, melting, heat treatment and other processes to improve the performance and quality of metal materials. For example, after solution treatment at 950 ℃ and water cooling, titanium alloy can be aged at 500 ℃ to increase the alpha phase content by 15% and plasticity by 20%, making it suitable for the manufacture of artificial joints.
3. New energy materials: With the development of new energy technology, high vacuum muffle furnaces play an important role in the preparation of new energy materials such as solar cells and lithium batteries. For example, high nickel ternary material (NCM811) sintered at 850 ℃ and O ₂ atmosphere for 12 hours can achieve a specific capacity of 220mAh/g, with a capacity retention rate of 90% after 500 cycles, significantly better than the 80% retention rate of conventional sintering at 700 ℃.
4. Functional materials: Some functional materials, such as oxides, nitrides, carbides, etc., require high-temperature sintering to exhibit their special properties. A high vacuum muffle furnace can provide high temperature and controlled atmosphere for the preparation of these functional materials. For example, silicon nitride sintered at 1750 ℃ in N ₂ atmosphere for 2 hours with the addition of Y ₂ O3 sintering aid can achieve a fracture toughness of 7MPa · m ¹/² and thermal shock resistance (Δ T=800 ℃ without cracks), making it suitable for the manufacturing of gas turbine blades.
5. Optical materials: Some high-purity optical materials, such as single crystals, ceramic substrates, etc., need to be prepared in high temperature and high vacuum environments. The high vacuum muffle furnace provides suitable conditions for growing single crystals and preparing high-quality optical materials. For example, transparent alumina ceramics can achieve a light transmittance of 85% (550nm) after hot pressing sintering at 1850 ℃, making them suitable for the manufacture of high-pressure sodium lamps.
6. Composite materials: High vacuum muffle furnaces are mainly used in the composite materials industry for processes such as heat treatment, curing, and reinforcement of composite materials. For example, carbon/carbon composite materials can be prepared with SiC fiber reinforcement layer by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) at 1300 ℃, with a density of up to 1.8g/cm ³ and a bending strength of 350MPa, which is suitable for the manufacturing of rocket nozzles.
