What is a vacuum brazing furnace?

Vacuum brazing furnace is a large mechanical equipment used for metal brazing, which can perform high-temperature heat treatment in a vacuum environment to achieve high-quality welding of workpieces.


1. Working principle

The working principle of a vacuum brazing furnace is as follows:

Preparation stage:

Firstly, clean and stain the workpiece that needs to be welded to ensure that the welding area is clean and free of impurities.

Apply solder flux to the welding position of the workpiece and sprinkle welding materials such as powder, particles, or flakes.

Position and fix two or more workpieces to be welded to ensure accurate docking of the welding area.

Heating stage:

Place the prepared workpiece into the heating chamber of the vacuum brazing furnace.

By using a vacuum system to extract air from the heating chamber, an oxygen free environment is created to prevent oxidation of the workpiece during the welding process.

Start the heating system and gradually raise the temperature inside the heating chamber to the melting temperature of the welding material.

Welding stage:

When the temperature reaches the melting temperature of the welding material, the welding material begins to melt, forming liquid metal.

Capillary action occurs between the liquid metal and the workpiece, filling the connection area of the workpiece and forming a weld seam.

Maintain a certain temperature and time to fully solidify the weld seam and ensure welding quality.

Cooling stage:

After welding is completed, turn off the heating system and allow the workpiece to cool naturally in a vacuum environment or use forced cooling.

After cooling to room temperature, open the furnace door of the vacuum brazing furnace and remove the welded workpiece.

The vacuum brazing furnace mainly consists of the following parts:

Heating chamber: used to place workpieces and provide a high-temperature environment required for welding.

Vacuum system: including vacuum pump, vacuum pipeline, vacuum valve, etc., used to extract air from the heating chamber to create an anaerobic environment.

Control system: used to control the temperature, vacuum degree and other parameters of the heating chamber, achieve precise control, and ensure welding quality.
